Hafiz Naeem Expresses Concern Over Azad Kashmir Situation

Islamabad: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has described the current situation in Azad Kashmir as disturbing and emphasized that meaningful dialogue is the best way to resolve ongoing issues.

He made these remarks after meeting Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence in Islamabad. Leaders from both parties discussed the political and security situation in Azad Kashmir along with other national matters.


Call for Immediate Dialogue

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Hafiz Naeem said a positive opportunity has emerged for negotiations regarding the Kashmir issue.

He urged the federal government to take practical steps toward dialogue and engage all relevant stakeholders. According to him, peaceful discussions remain the most effective way to address public concerns and strengthen national unity.

Hafiz Naeem also stressed that every solution should remain within the framework of Pakistan’s Constitution and democratic principles.


Meeting with Maulana Fazlur Rehman

The Jamaat-e-Islami delegation met Maulana Fazlur Rehman to exchange views on the evolving situation in Azad Kashmir.

During the joint media interaction, Maulana Fazlur Rehman appreciated Hafiz Naeem’s remarks and said his position reflected the concerns shared by many political leaders across the country.

He noted that efforts have already been made to encourage dialogue between different parties and expressed hope that negotiations would move forward in a positive direction.


Fazlur Rehman Calls for Wisdom Over Force

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said a delegation had previously approached him with a proposal for mediation and requested that a planned long march be postponed.

According to him, the march was delayed in the hope that negotiations would begin, but both sides are still waiting for further progress.

He added that Pakistan’s political leadership and representatives from Azad Kashmir are deeply concerned about the current situation.

The JUI-F chief also questioned why previously accepted agreements were later reconsidered and emphasized that lasting solutions require consistency and mutual trust.


Political Leadership Urges Peaceful Resolution

Both leaders agreed that dialogue is the most constructive path toward resolving differences.

They emphasized that decisions based on consultation, constitutional principles and mutual understanding are more beneficial than confrontational approaches.

Political observers believe that renewed communication between stakeholders could help reduce tensions and contribute to long-term stability in Azad Kashmir.
